Eco-Fiction

Eco-Fiction is a branch of fiction that focuses on nature-oriented stories. This includes books where the environment is not just the setting, but also a presence or kind of character in and of itself; books where human interests are not the only legitimate concern; and books that deal with the ethics of human interaction and impact on nature. At it's most basic, eco-fiction is about the relationship between the natural world and humans. This often includes Black speculative literature, magical realism, science fiction, books focused on Indigenous communities, historical fiction, poetry, and more.
