“Frankie Corzo does an amazing job narrating this audiobook! She was able to capture the multiple POVs beautifully and made me pick up my actual copy that was sitting on my shelf FOR MONTHS. My favorite thing about this book was the characters. All so different from each other but connected by a plot of land in the middle of nowhere, magic, and one woman, their family’s matriarch. In the book we mostly follow the narratives of Marimar, past Orquídea, and Rey as well as Tatinelly and later Rhiannon. Five complex characters in this magical story dealing with acceptance, personal eccentricities, love, familial bonds, and the hardships of life. This book definitely carried me through an array of emotions as well as made me want to travel to Ecuador.
