The Magic Half

Annie grew up in Northern California, and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in Medieval History. After earning an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Mills College, Annie wrote a number of books for grown-ups. In 2003, Annie grew weary of grown-ups, and began to write for kids, which she found to be way more fun. Her first children's book, Ivy and Bean, was an ALA Notable Book for 2007.

Cris Dukehart is an award-winning storyteller who has narrated books in a plethora of genres, from romance and science fiction to children's literature and autobiography. Her voice, with its endearing mix of sweetness and pluck, can be heard around the world and across the web in commercials, e-learning projects, and corporate narrations. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, she lives with her family in rural Pennsylvania.
