A tragic accident in the Carolina mountains leaves a young man paralyzed and in a coma. Soon a fierce legal battle erupts between the man's wife who wants to terminate life support and the young man's father who wants to keep his son alive at all costs. Caught up in the turmoil is a young female attorney who takes the case and finds out that her client's husband isn't the only person in need of life saving measures.

A private attorney from Georgia, Robert Whitlow moved to Charlotte, North Carnolina and downsized his practice in 1996 so he could focus on writing. He has written several acclaimed legal thrillers and has won the prestigious Christy Award. With a style reminiscent of John Grisham and Frank Peretti, Robert Whitlow has mastered the art of legal suspense novels. When he is not working on a legal brief or a novel, Whitlow writes for The Morning Star Journal. Robert and his wife Kathy have four teenage children, he enjoys jogging, hiking, trout fishing, and gardening.

Reviews

"Shortly after Rina is married to Baxter Richardson, scion of a rich and politically powerful family in South Carolina, her husband is injured in a fall off a cliff. While he lies in a coma, Rina fights his family for the right to turn off the machines. As tough divorce lawyer Alexia Lindale helps Rina with the subsequent legal issues, Alexia falls in love with a minister who brings religion into her life. Strong themes of Christian love and faith are softly narrated by Rob Lamont, who uses his varied skills to portray the mystery of life."
