There’s a saying that if you come from my part of town, you’re from “around the way.” Around the Way Girls 3 is a look at the life of some street-smart women who think they know it all but are about to get the lesson of their lives.

Sugar and Candy Cane are twenty-four-year-old identical twins from around the way. These ladies aren’t as sweet as their names imply, and people quickly come to know them as double trouble. The Cane twins have a love-hate relationship which keeps them at odds, but when all hell breaks loose, there’s no question as to whether they’ll have each other’s backs.

As the daughters of the infamous gangster Timmy Barnes, it was only natural that Tamara and Tamia would follow in his footsteps. But in their pursuit of the spoils of the fast life, a family secret is unraveled that may tear their lives apart.

Twin sisters Paris and Porsha McCain have a score to settle, when their sister, Alex, is found brutally beaten and dead on the streets of South Central LA. Instead of waiting for the police to catch the killer, Paris and Porsha set out to exact their own kind of justice.

Alisha Yvonne has been writing since childhood and is something of a Memphis celebrity. Her first self-published novel, Lovin’ You Is Wrong, came out in 2003, and in four short months, she was offered a book deal. Since then, she has written the Essence bestseller I Don’t Wanna Be Right as well as a host of other titles. Yvonne continues to reside in Memphis with her daughters.

Thomas Long was born and raised in the rough streets of Baltimore. They serve as the backdrop for his gritty novels about street life. His writing style can be described as gritty, erotic, intellectual, and able to appeal to all audiences. He not only writes in the urban fiction genre but also has works in the erotica and nonfiction realms as well.

Pat Tucker works by day as a radio news director in Houston, Texas. By night, she is a talented writer with a knack for telling page-turning stories. She is the author or coauthor of several novels and a contributor to a few anthologies, including the New York Times bestselling author Zane’s Caramel Flava. A graduate of San Jose State University, Tucker is a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and the National Association of Black Journalists and its Houston affiliate.

Honey Jones is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, and currently resides in New York City. She is an actress, acting coach, and teaching artist in all five boroughs of the New York City school system. Her credits are extensive in regional theater, and she has also done soap and episodic work. She holds a BFA from Howard University and an MFA from Penn State University.
