For the first time, author Lisa April Smith merges her proven skill at delivering unforgettable characters and page-turning suspense with historic fiction.
Based on exhaustive research and set in the Chinese cradle of civilization, the Yellow River basin, Forgotten Tales of China is a sweeping saga of survival, sacrifice, indomitable perseverance, bravery, and betrayal. Starting forty thousand years ago with cave dwellers who communicate almost solely through sign language, this epic novel transports listeners through the millennium, culminating in Chinaโs Bronze Age, 1600 BC, during the reign of a mad degenerate Xia king.
Lisa April Smith is the highly praised author of Dangerous Lies, Exceeding Expectations, and Paradise Misplaced, all in the genre she playfully calls โsuspense with sizzle for discerning readers.โ She is also the author of the historical novel Forgotten Tales of China, an epic set in ancient China.
Nancy Wu has done voice-over animation and narrated audiobooks since 2004. Reviews
โThe writing is fluid, the stories are great, and you will hunger for a sequel when you finish. Some books just transport you to another world, and this is one of the best.โ
โI highly recommend this book to all those who love the exotic and the Orient, but also to those who are looking for a story that is unusual and absorbing. This is a book that will keep you transfixed for hours!โ
