As a humanitarian, he helped aid workers heal orphaned children in Rwanda and lived in camps alongside Bosnian refugees. As a warrior, he excelled at the hardest military training in the world and teamed up with fellow SEALs to hunt al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq.

In The Warrior's Heart, an adaptation of his bestselling memoir, The Heart and the Fist, Eric Greitens brings his adventures to life, sharing stories of friendship, struggle, and hard-earned wisdom. This remarkable book will inspire listeners to live every day with compassion and courage.

Eric Greitens was born and raised in Missouri. He attended Duke University as an A.B. Duke Scholar and was awarded a Truman and a Rhodes scholarship to attend Oxford University, where he won a gold medal at the BUSA National Boxing Championships and earned a Ph.D. His research led to humanitarian work around the world, including in Rwanda, Albania, Mexico, India, Croatia, Bolivia, and Cambodia. In 2001, Eric joined the Navy SEALs and deployed four times during the global war on terror. His military awards include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. When Eric returned from Iraq, he founded The Mission Continues, America's leading organization for helping wounded and disabled warriors to serve their country again as citizen leaders here at home.
