The celestial phenomenon of the Christmas Star occurs every 30 years. For Tommy and Susie Magli, who fall in love under this star on Christmas Eve 1965, it will carry special hope. Withstanding her family’s disapproval, they make a vow to each other on that night. When Tommy enlists in the Marines, their love is tested to the limit, a test that lasts 30 years.
